Multiplast Powerset 100/200/300/400

Multiplast Powerset 100/200/300/400 accelerate setting and hardening time, increase workability, and make concrete placement easier, resulting in better compaction and finishing. These products can be mixed together to achieve the desired properties while maintaining the best economic price-to-performance ratio. Multiplast Powerset 100/200/300/400 are water-reducing and accelerating admixtures for concrete, conforming to BS EN 934 Part 2: 2001, IS 9103: 1999, and ASTM C 494 Type E.

Product Description

Multiplast Powerset 100/200/300/400 are high-performance cement accelerators and plasticizers formulated with special chemicals, surfactants, and other additives. They are supplied as clear to black liquids. The Multiplast Powerset range is designed to accelerate either the stiffening or setting of concrete or enhance the rate of hardening and early strength gain. This enables earlier formwork striking and demolding. Each Multiplast Powerset accelerator serves a specific function, but they can be blended together to achieve multiple benefits. Multiplast Powerset 100, a hardening accelerator, is most effective at low temperatures. These accelerators can also be combined with superplasticizers when early-age strength is required, especially in colder conditions.

Cold Weather Applications

In cold weather, set accelerators are primarily used to control the setting time of floor slabs, preventing extended delays in finishing and power-troweling. They also help minimize the risk of concrete damage due to freezing and allow for earlier formwork removal. Concrete with an accelerator sets faster than standard concrete, typically reducing setting time by 1–2 hours, depending on the accelerator type, dosage, and temperature.
