Multiplast AirEnt

Multiplast AirEnt air-entraining admixture consists of surface-active chemicals that create small, stable air bubbles uniformly throughout a concrete mix. The bubbles are mostly under 1 mm in diameter, with a high proportion being smaller than 0.3 mm. The primary purpose of using Multiplast AirEnt is to enhance freeze-thaw and scaling resistance, thereby extending the service life of concrete. Improved cohesion and compaction further contribute to the durability and longevity of concrete structures. It is particularly suitable for durable concrete exposed to thermal fluctuations around the freezing point (0°C), lean concrete with a cement content of less than 250 kg/m³ and low fine sand content for pumping applications, and concrete with lightweight aggregates to improve homogeneity, workability, and overall application.

Product Description

Recommended Uses:

Hydraulic structures such as dams, water channels, swimming pools, and storage tanks exposed to cold climates.
Floors, floor slabs, tunnels, and car parks exposed to rainwater and cold conditions.
Lightweight structural concrete elements, including panels and floor beams.

Unique Features:
  • Air-entraining agents lower the surface tension of water, facilitating bubble formation.
  • Uniform dispersion is achieved by blending surfactants, which enhance the stability of the interfacial layer between air and water, preventing bubbles from coalescing.

Benefits:

  • Enhanced resistance to freezing and thawing cycles
  • Increased cohesion, reducing bleed and mix segregation
  • Improved compaction in low-workability mixes
  • Enhanced stability in extruded concrete
  • Better cohesion and handling properties in bedding mortars
