Admixtures

Admixtures are used for new construction or repair work to improve workability, change setting time, and make the concrete mix more cohesive and compact. These additives enhance the performance of concrete, increasing durability, strength, and resistance to environmental factors like moisture, heat, and freeze-thaw cycles, ensuring long-lasting results. They also help in reducing shrinkage, controlling cracking, and enhancing bonding with reinforcement, making concrete more reliable for various structural and industrial applications. Using the right admixture can enhance concrete durability, as outlined by ACI Standards

MULTIPLAST® N

Multiplast N is a normal plasticizer used for low to medium grade (M35) concrete. It is based on processed lignosulphonates and is supplied as a brown liquid. Generally cement particles tend to clump together and Multiplast N works by improving the dispersion of the agglomerates within the concrete mix which ensures that the cement is used more efficiently. Improves cohesion, reduces the risk of segregation and bleeding and reduces laitance and permeability. Increase in denseness will increase the durability and resistance to attack by aggressive agents corresponding to control mixes. Multiplast N plasticizer is a low cost water reducer, which can be used to get one or combination of benefits.

Uses: Used in low to medium grade concrete to get better workability, increase in compressive strength and waterproofing.
Dosage: 100-200ml for 50 kg cement bag

MULTIPLAST® SUPER

MULTIPLAST® SUPER is a special category of water-reducing agent in that, it is manufactured from materials that allow much greater water reduction or alternatively extreme workability of concrete in which it is incorporated. This is achieved without undesirable side effects such as excessive air entrainment or set retardation. MULTIPLAST® SUPER is used as high range water reducing admixture (super plasticizer) for concrete. MULTIPLAST® SUPER increases early and 28 days strength, if advantage of water reduction is taken. It is used in precast concrete work and in prestressed concrete. Improves cohesion thus aids pumping of concrete. Facilitates rapid placing of concrete with little or no vibration. Makes the concrete denser, hence water tightness and durability is increased.

USES: The use of MULTIPLAST® SUPER may produce high strength concrete (compressive strength up to 22,000 psi). Superplasticizers can also be utilized in producing flowing concrete used in a heavy reinforced structure with inaccessible areas. Requirement for producing flowing concrete is defined in ASTM C 1017.

MULTIPLAST® POWERSET® 100

“USES: Multiplast® Powerset® 100, Concrete Set Accelerator is a ready-to-use, liquid admixture, designed for plain cement, concrete and mortar. It accelerates initial setting time one to three times faster than normal mortar and concrete. Multiplast® Powerset® 100 improves workability and strength while hastening the hydration of cement. It makes the mix easier to place and speeds construction by shortening the initial set and curing time. Time and labor are saved, because forms and other protection can be removed earlier, and finishing can be started. Multiplast Powerset 100 is more suited to cold conditions where in cement hydrations gets reduced. Set-Accelerating admixture is most suited for tile, precast and block making industries where early strength development is needed. ”

Dosage: 300-1200 gm for 50 kg cement bag
